Dr Yassir Al-Oleiw is a renowned private gastroenterologist, hepatologist and internist on Södra vägen, in the heart of Gothenburg.

Education
Dr. Al-Oleiw began his medical training in 2004 at Charles University, Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Kralove, a highly regarded institution in medical education. He gained further experience through training at leading UK hospitals, including King’s College Hospital, Ealing Hospital, University College London, and Glan Clwyd Hospital, and graduated in 2010 with the title MUDr. ("Medicinae Universae Doctor").

Clinical Experience
In 2011, Dr. Al-Oleiw moved to Sweden to begin his career in primary care, gaining insight into the Swedish healthcare system. He joined Kungälv Hospital from 2012 to 2014, where he developed his expertise in internal medicine.

After Kungälv Hospital, Dr. Al-Oleiw continued his career at Sahlgrenska University Hospital until 2022, while also periodically serving at Kungälv Hospital in his final years there. He obtained his specialist certification in internal medicine in 2019 and further specialization in gastroenterology and hepatology in 2022.

Research Focus
Currently, Dr. Al-Oleiw conducts research in dysphagia and motility disorders, key areas for advancing understanding of gastrointestinal health.

He is an active member of the Swedish Medical Association, the Swedish Gastroenterological Society, the Swedish Society of Internal Medicine, the Gothenburg Medical Society, and the Swedish Association of Private Doctors.
