England born, Göteborg based artist works between graphic, wall hanging works, digital fabrication, animation and blends graphic styles with material and processes explorations.
My works aim to promote play, levity and encourage a sense of exploration. Materials come together from a universe of forms in surprising combinations, clusters, constellations of families that play off and inform each other. There is a continuity between the works and a material and process richness that points towards a wholeness or deeper unseen structures.
Fundamentally I am interested in how we map and make sense of the world around us and the symbols that arise through cultural evolution. The futility of not being able to determine the deeper questions in lift does not fill me with dread buk more a curiosity and wonder of the complexity around us. In my practise I hold an open, playful cosmological position and use a wide range of digital and traditional production methods to bring my universe to life. Getting hands on and working in the studio brings me more understanding, if that is a method of production, a new material, a surprising color combination or something a little deeper, aesthetics and levity guide me on my way. Getting lost in production is when I am at my best and I hope the sense of play and exploration transfers into the works and to the viewer in the end.
